Cane’s asked wellcom to help make their NYC debut a traffic-stopping event that felt as big as the city itself. Led by the vision of CEO Todd Graves, Cane’s is known for their scrupulous attention to detail, not just in presentation, but the food itself. Their slogan “One Love” is a signifier of the passion they bring to what they serve their customers.
We took that to heart as we helped usher them into NYC, crafting and guiding a unique vision for the flagship through creative concepting, an elaborate technical process, physical construction, and high-tech digital installations.

Introducing Caniac Corner:
When imagining how we’d fill the open spaces inside the restaurant we decided to help Cane’s do something they’d never done before: create a bespoke area just for Caniacs.
It’s the best seat in the house, replete with Texas toast benches that have crinkle-cut fries for legs, a Cane’s sauce container coffee table, all nestled in a huge Cane’s combo platter liner.
Practically built for selfies, this VIP spot went viral on social media before the restaurant had even opened.

At Raising Cane’s its ok to play with your food:
Approaching the back dining room, you’ll be mesmerized by a breathtaking 16’x8’ interactive French fry wall.
Powered by Unreal Engine and a LiDAR camera, this fully immersive wall of French fries dance and twirl in response to even the smallest movements of people passively or actively engaging with it.

Putting the launch up in lights
To hype up the big moment as huge lines formed around the block, we took over TSQ with ads on some of NYC’s most sought-after billboards. By close of business, over 10,000 customers had been served.

Shattering expectations & sales records
The flagship’s opening ended up being the hottest party in NYC. Anyone who was anyone came out for the big day, and showed off on social media with 1,000’s of posts lavishing praise and excitement for the launch.
When all was said and done, Cane’s had broken all sales records. This momentum continues today and this location expects to see over 1 million customers within the first six months of launching.

An ever changing experience, the halloween edition.
With just a two-week timeline, our team designed, illustrated, and enhanced the existing decor with custom art and lighting, creating a Raising Cane’s Halloween party at their flagship in Times Square. To create the content for Cane’s massive digital screens we leveraged several AI tools to develop over 50 unique pieces of art. Combined with the talents of our motion design team, this ghoulish party turned into an iconic seasonal moment.
